Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of EquiLogic, operated by EquiLogic LLC. By creating an account, buying credits or uploading a video, you agree to them. Last updated 12 August 2026.

What this service is, and what it is not

EquiLogic analyses a video of a horse and returns an assessment of its gait, including a lameness grade and a list of limbs that appear affected.

It is a screening aid. It is not a veterinary examination, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for one. Gait analysis from video can miss lameness that is present and can flag horses that are sound. A grade produced by this service tells you what a model observed in one clip filmed under conditions we did not control.

No veterinary or professional advice

Nothing in this service is veterinary advice. We are not your veterinarian and no veterinarian-client-patient relationship is created by using it.

Decisions about a horse's health, workload, treatment, transport, sale or purchase must be made with a qualified veterinarian who has examined the animal in person. Do not delay contacting a vet because of anything this service reports, and do not continue working a horse because this service returned a low grade.

No guarantee of results

We make no promise about the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any analysis. Results depend on how a horse was filmed, the surface, the light, the camera and the horse itself, none of which we control.

We do not promise that using this service will identify a problem, prevent an injury, affect the outcome of a sale, or save you money.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You must give accurate registration details and keep them current.

You may only upload video you have the right to upload, of horses you own or are authorised to film.

Credits, plans and payment

Analyses are paid for with credits. Credits come in two forms and they behave differently:

  • Credits bought outright do not expire. They remain on your account until you spend them.
  • Credits included in a monthly plan refill each billing cycle and reset at the end of it. Unused plan credits do not roll over.
  • A credit is spent when an analysis is unlocked, whether or not you agree with the result.
  • Card payments are processed by Square. We do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's terms as well as these.

Subscriptions and cancellation

A monthly plan renews automatically until you cancel it. You may cancel at any time and your plan credits remain available until the end of the cycle you have already paid for.

Cancelling does not refund the current cycle, and it does not affect credits you bought outright.

Refunds

Credits are digital goods delivered immediately. We do not offer refunds for credits that have been spent.

If the service fails to deliver an analysis you paid for, contact us and we will restore the credit or refund it.

Referral rewards

We may offer discount vouchers for sharing your referral code or for referring someone who makes their first purchase. Where offered:

  • A voucher is one discount against one purchase. Vouchers do not stack: a purchase takes at most one, and any others stay on your account.
  • A voucher applied to a monthly plan discounts the first billing cycle only. Renewals bill at the full plan price.
  • A voucher is applied when a payment completes. An abandoned checkout does not spend it.
  • Vouchers have no cash value, are not transferable, and cannot be exchanged or refunded. Closing your account forfeits unspent vouchers.
  • Referring yourself, creating accounts to trigger rewards, or otherwise gaming the programme is prohibited. We may cancel vouchers obtained that way and may suspend the accounts involved.
  • We may change or end the referral programme at any time. Vouchers already granted remain usable unless obtained in breach of these terms.

Contact us before disputing a charge

If you believe you have been charged in error, you agree to contact us at support@equilogic.ai and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us is a breach of these terms. We may suspend or close an account that does so, and recover the costs we incur.

Your content

You keep ownership of the videos you upload. You grant us a licence to store, process and analyse them so we can provide the service, and to keep them associated with your account and your horses.

We may use aggregated, de-identified information derived from analyses to improve the service. We do not publish your videos or identify you or your horses without your permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload video you do not have the right to upload.
  • Present an analysis as a veterinary opinion or as a certified soundness examination.
  • Use the service to make representations in a sale without disclosing that it is an automated screening aid.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the service.
  • Resell access to the service or share an account across a business without our agreement.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EQUILOGIC LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ACCURATE OR ERROR FREE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EQUILOGIC LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR VETERINARY OR OTHER COSTS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitations above apply to the fullest extent permitted.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EquiLogic LLC, its officers, employees and contractors from any claim, loss, liability or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your content, your breach of these terms, or any decision you or a third party made in reliance on an analysis.

Binding arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved by binding, confidential arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section.

The arbitrator, and not any court, has exclusive authority to resolve any dispute about the interpretation, applicability, enforceability or formation of this agreement.

Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead, if it qualifies.

Class action and jury trial waiver

YOU AND US AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

YOU AND US WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY.

The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this paragraph is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration section is void.

Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time from the profile screen. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law.

Credits are not transferable and have no cash value. Closing your account forfeits any unspent credits.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration section.
